UWC-USA required a digital experience that could communicate both the academic rigor of its International Baccalaureate program and the depth of its co-curricular learning environment. As the American campus of the global UWC movement, the school’s identity is rooted in practical idealism, experiential education, and personal transformation. The central challenge was translating this multidimensional educational experience into a website that felt inspiring and informative without overwhelming users. Navigation and content structure needed to serve prospective and current students and their families, balancing storytelling, clarity, and ease of use.
The admissions experience presented inherent complexity, with different pathways for national and international applicants, financial aid considerations, and campus selection preferences. Rather than relying on static content and dense instructions, we developed an interactive tool designed to guide students through these decisions. By capturing user preferences and intent, the tool helps applicants quickly understand their options and follow the most relevant application path. This approach reduced confusion, simplified navigation, and created a more supportive admissions experience.
Content strategy played a central role in conveying the distinctly global and community-centered nature of the UWC-USA experience. The site highlights the relationships, cultural exchange, and shared learning that define student life on campus. Messaging and storytelling were intentionally structured to emphasize connection — between students from diverse backgrounds and with the surrounding New Mexico community.
This approach helped communicate the school’s values while making the student experience feel tangible, human, and authentic.
Beyond its role as a marketing and admissions platform, the website was designed to function as a centralized hub for the broader UWC-USA community.
Timely content such as news, events, and student stories is easy to discover, supporting ongoing engagement across audiences including alumni, families, trustees, and admitted students. Clear access points to login portals and community resources ensure users can quickly navigate to the tools and information relevant to them.







A bold color palette and expressive photography bring the UWC-USA experience to life, reinforcing the school’s distinctive setting and culture. Visual design choices were crafted to engage users while supporting readability and navigation. This balance creates a digital experience that feels memorable, cohesive, and inviting.
